Giziga stories
In this area i am presenting you some giziga stories.
Before you read the stories, you have to follow the rules below.
The Giziga never hear or read stories without following them, so you are warned ;-).
There are 4 fondamental rules:
1. The stories should be told or read only in the night, and in fact, the Guiziga never tell or read stories by daylight.
2. You should be absolutly calm and relaxed. Now you understand, why you should do it in the night. Normally you haven''t the necessary time by day.
3. After you read or heard the stories, it is recommended to go immediatly to bed, that is why it is better to ask a lovely person to read the stories for you.
4. At the beginning of reading or hearing you should laugh very loud, but without obligation. People say that laughing is good for your health and it frees you from stress :-))))
Enjoy the stories! And if you like them, then let me know it by sending me by signing my guestbook or by filling in the form under the menu contact.
Thank you!
The fly part 1
Once upon a time...
Long time ago, as Djidjiwid the fly, like all animals and humankind, could speak, many unusual things used to happen.
Greedy as the fly is, it deeps its mandible in a calabash full of fresh milk. As it tried to wipe the rest of milk from its mandible, it broke it. In the vicinity, were some playing young girls. They found it very funny and they burst out laughing. These laughters made a monkey running away, which on its way turned a calebash full of water upside down.
The water flowed down to the viper''s home. This one was afraid and it fled into the trousers of a man with over dimensioned testicles. The man was in a panic. He grapped his testicles and fled into the forest. There was a group of elephants, that started to run away. By the way they trampled a tortoise. The high friction produced a bushfire, that burned the whole forest.
The villagers were angry and they decided to find and to punish the guilty one. So they lodged a complaint against the fire. In the court of the king, the fire was asked to present his defense. It said:
- Your majesty Bouimadida( means the biggest king in Guiziga), dear citizens. As you know, when you give me the way to spread I do it. I don''t see and understand, why I should be guilty for this incident. Don''t you use me every day to cook your meals on the same way? So your majesty, I ask you to recognise my innocence, it concluded the speech. And to show its respect, it bowed to the king.
Without wasting time, the king recognised its innocence. Then he asked the tortoise.
- And you tortoise, we are waiting for your explanations?
Still Wounded and suffering from the incident, the tortoise presented its speech, but nobody could understand it, because its voice was to low, so a griot spoke for it as follow:
- I don''t know what you would, your high majesty and my dear contemporaries, when you were trempled by elephants? I could hardly remember what happened, because as you know I lost my consciousness and I spent several nights and days by Mboulvou, who treated me very well. I ask you your majesty to consider this in your decision!
- Yes my dear tortoise, said the king, it is understandable, that you are innocent. Go home and may the good spirits be with you and bless you. He asked the elephants, which started to speak simultaneously, so that nobody could understand them. The king asked for silence and insisted, that one should speak for them.
The oldest one started and said:...
To be follow...
The fly part 2
- Your majesty, my dear friends! Me and my family were taking our diner in the grassland. Suddenly we saw this man (it pointed with its leg at the man with overdimensioned testicles) with something in his hand, that we couldn''t identify. We were very afraid and we ran away. By the way we trampled the tortoise. It turned to the tortoise and asked him for excuse. It concluded its speech by asking for innocence.
- You are right, said the king, I can''t see your fault. He turned to the man with overdimensioned testicles and asked him to defend himself. The state of his genital parts provoked some whispers in the public. The king asked for silence.
- Your majesty and my dear friends, the man said. I was seating and having rest under a tree. Suddently I noticed something cold between my legs. It was a viper, so I got in panic and I started running into the forest. Your majesty, what would you do, if you were in my situation?
A little bit amused, the king recognised his innocence and without losing time he asked the viper to present its speech. The presence of the viper caused by some persons and animals a fear, but as they noticed, that nothing could happen in front of the king, they calmed down.
- Your majesty, said the viper. I was taking my rest at my home and suddently I was surprised by a flood. I was very afraid and I fled and hid myself somewhere else, without knowing, that I was putting someone in danger. I apoligize myself for this clumsiness, but I am not responsable of this bush fire. - I think, that you are right, said the king. And you viper, what can you tell us?
- Your majesty, I flow there, where the conditions are best. By flowing, I never think, that I am putting someone in danger. I think, that the viper should better build its house.
- My dear viper said the king, you are right, but you have nothing to say about construction rules. And you, Viri the monkey, why were you so clumsy to turn the calebash upside down?
- On a tree nearby said the monkey, I was making my daily gymnastic exercises. The young girls were laughing at me and to hide my shame I ran away and by the way I turned the calebash upside down. My apology for that, but I am not responsable for the bush fire. Again the king recognised the innocence of the monkey.
The King asked the girls to defend theirself. The youngest of them started and said:
- Your majesty, the greatest king of the world, we were playing in the village court, then we saw the fly by wiping its mandible, it broke it. It was very funny and we burst out laughing. We don''t see, why we should be responsable for this bush fire. She bowed to the king to show her respect. Before finishing her speech, everybody burst out laughing. After the silence came back, the king continued.
- And you the fly, what can you tell us for your defense? But because, it has no mandible, she could only whistle. And because no one could understand her, she has been found guilty and she received two whips on her head. That is why, she has even today two white strokes on her head. And some time she whistle, because again she is trying to explain, that she was not guilty.
The sun, the mond and the wind
Once upon a time...
The moon, the sun and the wind were invited by their oncle and ant the Thunder and the Lightning for a dinner. Their mother the Star couldn''t go, because she is to far away. The dinner was wonderful. There were delicious food and very rare drinks. The sun and the wind were very greedy. They enjoyed all the nice things without thinking about their mother. The soft and anxious moon kept some food under her fingernails every time she was served. Notice that the moon has beautiful and long fingernails, which sometime caress the earth and its inhabitants. The later call these nails moonbeams. As the sun, the moon and the wind went home, the curious mother star asked them:
- How was the dinner? Tell me what you drank and ate. And what have you kept for me? The sun answered and said:
- I ate and drank very nice things, but I am sorry mom, that I can''t tell you anything about this dinner, because I went there to enjoy the party and not to talk about it!
- I had a slap-up meal, said the wind! There were a lot of things to eat and to drink. But I am also sorry, that I can''t tell you something, because I went there to have a good time, but not to make a list of what was served.
The moon said:
- Mother, give me a plate! The star gave her one and the moon shook her nails over the plate and she presented a a delicious menu to her mother. As the mother star finished eating, she turned to his son the sun and said:
- You thought only about your belly and your pleasure. You are avid and egoistic. For that I will punish you. The grass will turn yellow by seeing you. Animals and human kind will hide themself from your beams, because they will be burning.
She turned to her son the wind and said:
- You too, you thought only about you and about having good time. You didn''t even thought one moment about me. To punish you, you will have a blow, that make skin dry and respiration difficult. Animals and human kind will flee from you and they will curse you. This explains, why the hot and dry wind is severe and stifling.
She turned to her daughter the moon and said:
- You my beautiful, my soft and tender daughter, who thought to share your joy and pleasure with me! Your light will be peacefull, soft and fresh and the living animals and human kind will bless your soft lightning! That is why the moonnights are fresh, soft and nice. And sometime, in the moonlight, the Giziga children listen to the stories, their grandmas and grandpas are telling!
Now you know why the sun, the wind and the moon are like they are.
