This web site is dedicated to the great city of Maroua or Marva the original name in Giziga. In the next pages you will get some informations about Gizigas, the city of Maroua, the northern Cameroon and more generally about Cameroon. The Gizigas are a folk of about 300 000 maybe 400 000 people living in the North region of Cameroon. The Giziga are the founder of Maroua, probably the eldest of major cities in Cameroon. I will tell you about the stories their grandmas and grandpas used to tell in the moonlight to their dear grandchildren. That happens normally in the moonlight.
